1. It’s 8:00 PM on a Sunday night. What is the dominant feeling in your gut?

I feel trapped. The money is great, but I’m dreading the fact that I’m just going through the motions.

I feel anxious. I know I need to make a career change, but I’m still overthinking what my next move should be.

I feel completely exhausted. I have nothing left in the tank, but I know I’ll have to carry the load again tomorrow.

When you think about actually resigning and making a career change, what is the number one thing stopping you?

Walking away from the salary, the title, and the lifestyle I've built. It feels like too much of a financial risk right now.

I have a dozen different ideas, but I can't figure out which path is actually right for me, so I end up doing nothing.

Honestly, I’m just too drained by the end of the day to even think about updating my resume or networking.

When you're scrolling through Seek or LinkedIn looking for new opportunities, what usually happens?

I have a quick look, realise nothing else matches my current salary package, and quickly close the tab.

I open a dozen tabs, overthink the selection criteria, and end up applying for absolutely nothing.

I read the position descriptions and feel entirely too drained to even think about having to prove myself somewhere new.

How do you typically justify staying in your current role when you've had an absolute shocker of a week?

I remind myself that the pay is excellent, the super is good, and it funds my lifestyle. Means to an end.

I tell myself I just need to research my exit options a bit more before making a rash decision.

I don't even have the energy to justify it; I'm just running on autopilot to get to the weekend.

How do you actually spend your weekends when you're supposed to be switching off?

Enjoying the lifestyle my salary affords, but with that nagging feeling in the back of my mind about Monday morning.

Going down rabbit holes researching new industries, courses, or side hustles, but never actually pulling the trigger on any of them.

Completely flat out on the couch. My weekend is purely for recovery because the work week takes absolutely everything out of me.

You're at a weekend BBQ and someone asks what you do for work. How do you feel about your answer?

I rely on my impressive job title or the prestige of my company to do the heavy lifting, even if I feel empty on the inside.

I give a convoluted answer because I’m currently juggling three different ideas in my head of what I actually want to transition into.

I give the shortest answer possible so we can change the topic. I simply don't have the bandwidth to talk about work on my day off.

If a magic wand could fix your career situation tomorrow, what does your ideal outcome look like?

Keeping my current income level and perks, but stepping into a role that actually gives me a sense of meaning and purpose.

Finally having crystal-clear certainty on exactly which career path to choose, with a step-by-step roadmap to get there.

Taking a solid chunk of long service leave just to sleep, reset, and figure out who I am when I'm not chronically stressed.

What is the primary reason you are taking this quiz today and looking for a way out?

I've realised that no amount of money or super is worth feeling this unfulfilled for the rest of my working life.

I am completely fed up with spinning my wheels, over-researching, and wasting time without making a tangible move.
